Academics
Learning, one child at a time.
No two children learn at the same speed — so we don’t teach as if they do.
The Curriculum
What is A.C.E.?
Dabwetamun Academy uses the A.C.E. (Accelerated Christian Education) curriculum — an individualized program used by Christian schools around the world. Instead of moving a whole class at one speed, A.C.E. meets each student where they are: a diagnostic assessment finds the right starting point, and each student masters every step before moving on to the next.
That means a child who needs more time gets it without falling behind the group — and a child who is ready to move ahead isn’t held back. Scripture and Biblical character are woven through every subject, so academics and faith grow together.
How It Feels
Three things we protect
At their own pace
Mastery before movement. Students build real understanding step by step, instead of being rushed past gaps that grow into walls.
Character alongside academics
Honesty, diligence, kindness — Biblical character is part of the curriculum, not an afterthought. We are shaping who a child becomes, not just what they know.
Known by name
Small classes and caring teachers mean no child is invisible here. Every student is seen, encouraged, and prayed for.
Rooted Here
Strong in faith. Strong in who they are.
Our school community is rooted in faith and in knowledge of Cree culture. Students grow strong in what they believe and in where they come from — and we believe those two strengths belong together.
